Our Beliefs
WHAT WE BELIEVE HERE AT MENDING HOUSE
Our Mission
Our Vision
To go into the highways to preach and teach the gospel of the kingdom and empower man’s heart to be converted and mended to God’s heart.

Luke 14:23.. “Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in…"
Equip and empower disciples to live a victorious life by imparting the knowledge of scriptures necessary to sustain, maintain and equip others. To see the heart of man mended to God by the word of God made alive in them. To instruct, teach, and promote holy living, and a lifestyle that God requires. To mature
disciples by imparting knowledge of their identity in Christ Jesus.

"If any man be in christ he is a new creation...(2 Corinthians 5:17)"
Our Purpose
Our purpose for establishing MHM is to provide a place where people can receive discipleship, mentorship, and the teaching of the apostle’s doctrine, which establishes the principle of Godly living.
MHM is established, ordained, and equipped by God.

Luke 10:2
“ the harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few…”
The Lord has sent us as laborers into the harvest. Our purpose is gathering souls for the kingdom of God.
the Bible
The Bible is the basis for all we believe.
“All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives.
2 Timothy 3:16 (NLT) “And we also thank God continually because, when you received the word of God, which you heard from us, you accepted it not as a human word, but as it actually is, the word of God, which is at work in you who believe.”
1 Thessalonians 2:13 “God’s Word is the only completely reliable and truthful authority and we accept the Bible as our manual for living.”

God
There is only one living and true God. There are three persons in the Godhead, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. (Genesis 1:2,27; Matthew 28:19; I John 5:7)
Jesus Christ the Son of God
“Jesus answered, I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me ” John 14:6 (NIV).
There is salvation in no one else! God has given no other name under heaven by which we must be saved” Acts 4:11-12 (NLT).

We believe Jesus Christ, conceived of the Virgin Mary, is the only begotten Son of the Father. Jesus was crucified, buried and rose from the dead. He ascended to heaven and is today at the right hand of the Father as the Intercessor for humanity (Luke 1:26-33; Hebrews 7:25).

We believe in the Second Coming of our Lord, Jesus Christ (Acts 1:10,11; I Thessalonians 4:13-18; Revelation 1:7).
We believe those who die outside of Christ will be punished in an eternal Hell, but those who die "in Him" shall share in His glory in Heaven forever (Daniel 12:2; Matthew 25:46; John 5:29; Jude 1:7).
Born Again
“When someone becomes a Christian, he becomes a brand-new person inside. The old passes away, a new life has begun” 2 Corinthians 5:17 (TLB).

“If you try to hang on to your life, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for my sake, you will save it ” Matthew 16:25 (NLT).
God created humans to have fellowship with Him, but they defied God by sinfully going their own way. As a result, we need God’s saving grace to end our alienation from Him. Salvation comes only through God’s grace, not human effort, and must be received personally by repentance and faith. At the end, everyone will experience bodily resurrection and the judgment. Only believers will enjoy eternal fellowship with God
Believers Can Be Spirit filled and Spirit Led
"... you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you ...” Acts 1:8 (NIV)
“... be filled with the Spirit,” Ephesians 5:18 (NIV).
“If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!” Luke 11:13 (NIV).
We believe the only way possible to live the Christian life is by God’s power within us. Every believer can be filled with the Holy Spirit by simply asking. We seek to practice a daily dependence on God’s Spirit to enable us to do what is right.
Salvation

Salvation is through confession that Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior (Acts 4:12; Romans 10:9-10; John 14:6).
Forgiveness of sins is attained through repentance of sin and believing the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ (Acts 2:38).

We believe we are justified (declared righteous under the blood of Jesus) when we repent of our sins and believe in Jesus Christ (Acts 13:38,39; Romans 5:1; I Corinthians 6:11; Mark 1:5).
Baptism

We believe in water baptism by immersion in water.

Each of you must repent of your sins and turn to God, and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. Then you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:38).

We believe in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in other tongues, as the Spirit gives the utterance. We believe in the operation of the nine Gifts of the Spirit and encourage all to live so that these gifts may be manifest in their lives (Acts 2:4; Acts 10:44-46; Acts 19:6; I Corinthians 12:4-11).
.
Marriage
We believe in the sacredness of marriage between one male born (man) and one female born (woman). We promote strong family values (Ephesians 5:31-33; 6:1-4; Hebrews 13:4; Matthew 19:5 Leviticus 18:22; Genesis 2:24).

We do not support or recognize marriage unions in the LGBTQIA community.
We believe the marriage union is for procreation and replenishing humanity, therefore denying homosexual, transgender, and any other unions outside of natural birth born men and women.

"And he answered and said unto them, have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female, and said, for this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh? Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh"Matthew 9:4-5 (KJV).
